Daocheng Yading Airport is an airport serving Daocheng County in the Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan province, China. It is located in Sangdui Township, 50 kilometers north of the county seat and 130 kilometers from the Yading Nature Reserve. At 4,411 m (14,472 ft) above sea level, Daocheng Yading is the world's highest civilian airport, surpassing the previous record holder Qamdo Bamda Airport, in Tibet, at 4,334 m (14,219 ft)

At an elevation of 4,334 m (14,219 ft) above sea level, Qamdo Airport was formerly the highest airport in the world. with an elevation of 4,411 m (14,472 ft), on 16 September 2013. It still has the longest publicly used paved runway in the world, at 5.5 km (3.4 mi)
